October Tradition

September was a really slow month. Crystal celebrated her birthday. But October is Always a busy month for us. We start by thinking of Halloween ALL month.

We went to to the Pumpkin Patch Oct 17 and then is was a fast moving month after that.

We had our annual pumpkin carving party Oct 29 which is also our anniversary.. Lots of carving and eating Thaoe's famous Clam chowder. We had to move the party to the Rose Street Church as we continue to grow. Rodebacks, Bruces & Kings. We had a potluck. The Kings provided the best homemade rolls and melt-in-your mouth corn bread!!! Homemade Rootbeer & Chili from the Bruces. Tristan even made "Noodles with (a little) Chicken" soup. Spencer outdid himself with a picture of Adyson on his pumpkin.

Oct 31 lots of costumes for the kids and grandkids. Enjoy the pics of the pumpkin patch, our carving party and of course all of the kids costumes... Kamaile and Kalei as dalmations, Cruella & Jasper & of course Cinderella with fairy godmother & Prince Charming.

August Reunion & Wash DC

August was a busy month for the Rodebacks. We started the month with a Rodeback Reunion at Longview & Longbeach WA. Here are some pics of our Tye dye shirts.

We ended the month in Hershey PA and Wash DC. We flew into DC then took a smaller plane ride to Harrisburg. What a trip we loved it. We went to the Hershey Story & the Chocolate World. It was hectic and busy but we enjoyed it. 3 motels, two plane rides (over and back) and we are now home...

We rode in an Amish Buggy, I am sitting directly BEHIND the horse in front of Thaoe in the orange shirt. The Amish are very nice people. Tristan was amazed that even though their farming style is old, he noticed two little girls with Crocs on.

Then it was off to Tour DC. We saw most of the monuments, the first one is the Korean Memorial, then thats me getting an etching of my Uncle Hector Ruiz on The Wall, and me and Thaoe at the WWII Memorial.

Birthdays BBQ & babies

Birthdays well the Rodeback family knows about July birthdays. Happy Birthday Elaine, Thaoe, Adena, Jonathan, Brianne, Kamdyn, Terry, Mom Rodeback & Brian Rodeback & Bradley. Whew sorry if I missed anyone... Well in my family we had a birthday EVERY month. Jan began with Grandpa Vasquez, Feb my dad, Mar my sister, Apr me, May my brother, June my sister and then we got to skip a couple of months until the Twins came in October...

We celebrated my mom's 70th birthday party (her bday is July 3) with a surprise party for her at Michael's on the lake. She was so surprised. We got all 6 of us together again a major accomplishment for us. Here is a picture of my mom & my family.

We had a BBQ on the 4th. We were glad to have one since a sickness has taken over the whole family. First Tristan then Thaoe, then Kalei, and lastly (we hope) spencer. Here is amber with our BBQ spread. The girls made the Trifle.

Here are the 4th of July babies in their patriotic outfits. We spent a quite night at home and watched the fireworks from the living room window where we can see all over the city.

And lastly here is the birthday boy. For his birthday he received a computer game and new headphones so he can listen to his music and play games. Happy birthday Thaoe...

Easter Fun

I was so thankful to have my family here for the holidays we had lots of fun dying eggs. We had two easter egg hunts... one at night for the adults... poor Josh walked right into a rose bush (it was at night and the flashlights were the ones grandpa bought). To make it harder we put tape over them and then let them take the tape off later to make it easier finding the eggs. They were the glow in the dark eggs but they were still hard to find. Another tradition that we will definatly continue as the adults were soo excited. We also had an egg hunt inside due to the rain for the little ones. Here are Adrian (my great nephew), Cavern (my nephew) & Kalei (my grandaugher. Whew what a weekend.

April FOOLS

Well we just got back from a trip to Longview to show off the new grandbaby Kamaile. We also had cinnamon rolls... well actually it was minus the cinnamon but they were great!!! I also had another exciting time as I headed to bed (in the little house). I went in the bathroom to change and stepped on a WASP!! Yes I know just call me Lucky..the little house has it out for me. Tristan went into Paramedic mode and went to get me Benadryl. No Benadryl so I had two ibuprofen and went to sleep..

On the way home we stopped at White Pass for a bathroom break and played in the snow. Kalei wanted to walk in the snow and tried to catch it. She wanted to show her penguin the snow.

We also "celebrated" April Fools day. I made Spaghetti & Meatballs. (look very closely it is actually cupcakes with frosting... & the meatballs are Ferre Roche candy in seedless raspberry jam.. It was a big hit at work with the ladies.

Busy months

Well February was a busy month for us. We celebrate Tristan's birthday and made Valentines for my sister's work.

We also made cute photo holders out of Large binder clips.

March is starting out busy as well. We started with a blessing that had to be postponed due to illness for Kamaile. Then two birthdays. Kalei & Spencer both celebrated their birthdays. (their birthday is Mar 9). We celebrated with a birthday party for Kalei and then dinner for Spencer.

I found a cute children's bench at the Big R and just had to have it. All three girls fit nicely on it.

Hopefully we will be going to Conference in April. Tickets for conference are harder to get than Gonzaga tickets..
We have also been hit my numerous "Household" expenses. The van has had so much work on it that it should be considered a NEW vehicle.. Today Thaoe said that we may also need a new washer & dryer. I think he has been praying too hard for those New Orange ones... Well he may get his wish... Hope all is well and I am just getting the hang of this blog thing so more blogs to come.

4 Generations. Grandma Vasquez, Grandma Rodeback, Amber & Adyson.
We are also getting ready for Valentines day. We are dipping Fortune cookies and making cute chinese boxes to put them in. Crystal is making them for Josh's PT class. (We are using the boxes from her wedding... yes can you say we overpurchased the boxes!!! that was 4 years ago...).

Kalei eating the goods... and helping mommy dip the cookies.
Having two granddaughers within two months is exausting. I am sure Both mothers are exausted too... Here is also a picture of Kalei & Kamaile.
